an elftini drink luge will be the hit of your holiday party!
Yeah, the holidays are coming and you’re trying to come up with something different for your party this year. We just might have the perfect idea for you: an Elftini party!
Check out this very “cool” elf. The little guy wears Bono-style (think U2, not Sonny) sunglasses and strikes a Travolta-esque pose. He’s a visual treat and a stylish way to serve chilled, colorful Elftinis. Your bartender pours Elftinis through a funnel behind his upraised right arm and they come out through his left hand. Elftinis come in red or green and are garnished with tiny candy canes (see some recipes below).
possible red elftini recipes
vodka
peppermint schnapps
grenadine
shake with ice and pour through the elftini luge to your guest’s waiting glass
garnish with a small candy cane
You can also use a Cosmopolitan recipe as your red elftini. Also, Bols makes a red Candy Cane liqueur that you might want to use as a red elftini.
possible green elftini recipe
vodka
green creme de menthe
white creme de cacao
candy cane
You can also use an apple-tini recipe or a Midori/melon liqueur-based drink for your green elftini. In the recipe above, the green creme de menthe gives the drink a strong green color and a strong mint taste, so use it sparingly.
By the way, Elftinis don’t have to have alcohol. All that matters are the holiday colors and the candy canes. So if your having an all ages affair, the kids can have their own punch version. Just make sure you keep their drinks separate and out of the martini glasses. And maybe while the adults are having good conversations over a drink or two, the kids can watch “Elf” on the DVD.

Elftinis come in green and red, of course. The recipe for each color will vary according to your tastes; all that matters is that you help get your guests into the Spirit of Christmas by serving them a bit of Christmas spirits!
